Trailer Park Tuesdays - Cheap Thrills

Once again it's Trailer Park Tuesdays...

Seems like all I do is visit the Trailer Park these days...  To remedy that, I got some October goodness lined up for STOD this month, probably more things than I'll get around to doing, but we'll see how it goes.  It should be fun.  Stay tuned...

But first, I dare you to not look at today's movie trailer!

Cheap Thrills is a black comedy/horror film from first time director E.L. Katz.  The story involves a couple of rich folks who meet a couple of down on their luck guys at a bar and pit them against one another in a series of escalating bets, dares, and tasks, all for increasing monetary compensation.

This one looks like a winner to me.  It won the Midnighters Award at SXSW this year, where it was subsequently picked up for distribution by Drafthouse Films.  The movie just played Fantastic Fest last week and will be doing some other festival dates this month before seeing a wider release in February 2014 (I believe..).

The film stars Pat Healy and Ethan Embry as the two guys and David Koechner and Sara Paxton as the rich couple.  Healy and Paxton were both in Ti West's The Innkeepers, Koechner is of Anchorman fame, and Embry, who is getting pretty far from Empire Records, is almost unrecognizable.  This looks like a lot of fun.

Here's the trailer:
